You decide:

Going from owning 2 keys prior to Katrina to now having 12 keys,
but living in a hotel using a plastic key card

Leaving New Orleans to escape Katrina's aftermath and evacuating to Houston,
now waiting and watching the path of Rita

Escaping New Orleans with a Maine Coon with the help of Hoover,
owner of a Great Dane

Canceling the auto insurance 8 days before the storm

Befriending complete strangers in New Orleans 2 days after the storm,
only to find them again in the same hotel in Houston 6 days later

Having over 300 teabags in 5 varieties and not a single cup to make the tea

Qualifying for mail-in rebate offers only

Having lived an entire year without TV, only to be trapped in hotel room
with nothing to do but watch it again

Subconciously all of my new clothing purchases are in the same only 4 colors that I had brought with me...green, purple, white, black

Me living in Texas
